Concept used ~ Function
Objective- To have students become
aware that scarcity requires people to make choices when trying to satisfy
their wants.
As
a group activity, each group was given a paper bag with stationary items which
were not sufficient enough for each member of the group to have. Students
struggled dividing the items for each person as everyone wanted to have each
item from the bag. After having a class discussion and understanding about “Needs
and Wants”, they were able to sort things out easily as everyone was able to
make the right choices and was contented to have what they need rather than
fighting over things because others have them according to their needs.
