CHILDREN’S DAY
This
was a BIG SURPRISE for our students who came totally unaware to what teachers
have been secretly planning for some weeks.
Students did get a little hint when they saw me; Ms. Judith dressed up as a school
student to be the MC of the program. The program started with a little skit
with Norbu Sir who was a teacher and Ms. Judith a student and went on with a
brief power point presentation on children’s day celebrated in India on Chacha
Nehru’s Birthday, 14th of November. (Jawaharlal Nehru was
the first prime minister of India) Students were also mesmerised
to see a musical video the ‘lost children’ a song sung by late Michael Jackson on
‘International children’s day’ to promote that every child has a right to have
a home, education and above all love.
Students
were then totally amazed and surprised to see their teachers & principal dancing
and singing on famous Bollywood songs. Our co-ordinator; Ms. Malini also surprised
the students by acting as a nursery child and reciting some famous poems.
Dr.
Naidu was also presented for this performance and congratulated the teachers
and wished our children a very happy children’s day.
So in a nutshell, on children’s day we as teachers have been dancers,
singers, artists, jokers and also acted as students etc.
The things we do for our students just to say that we love them
& appreciate them very much.
A very Happy Children’s day!!
