Creating Story Boards
Storyboards are one of
several tools recommended when working with students for whom the visual and
the concrete are helpful elements in absorbing abstract ideas. Our authors have
found that this technique is especially helpful in reading and writing
instruction. Storyboarding, or picture writing, is the origin of all written
languages, used by ancient cultures before text evolved and as a natural bridge
to text.
Our students were asked to extract the important scenes from the
classic that they have read. Each picture will be followed by a caption.
