Field
Visit ~ LAKE PATAUDA
12th of
April 2013
This
was in conjunction with our current TD theme –‘Sharing the Planet’. The central
idea of the unit is ‘Using and conserving finite resources efficiently can lead to a clean
and green future’. The field trip was to develop an understanding to
protect water resources for local people and also animals. This particular lake
has been preserved by our school; Pathways World School, Aravali’, so it would
be a good inspiration for our students to acknowledge our school’s effort in
this regard.

Mr. Sunil Bharadwaj the CAS co-ordinator facilitated this trip. He was the key person to initiate this action and preserve the lake. On the way to the lake, Sunil Sir gave us some interesting pieces of information and showed us the Ant hill, flower that are used to make colours, medicinal plants, traces of illegal mining and also informed that Aravali hills are one of the oldest forests in the world.

Our third graders assured Sir Sunil that they will also help the lake to preserve and also will make another lake sometime down along the line of their journey in Pathways.
