International Mother Language Day has
been celebrated every year since February 2000 to promote linguistic and
cultural diversity and multilingualism. UNESCO highlights
the importance of mother tongue as part of the right to education and
encourages its member states to promote instruction and education in the mother
tongue.
At Pathways students had an interesting time of not only translating a word every day in their mother tongue but also participated in the quiz during the school assembly. Our class participated in class room activities by presenting and performing in different mother tongue and we all loved it :).
