Summative Task
Presentation of an interview report with a successful businessman.
As a culminating performance of
understanding, students interviewed a shopkeeper in their neighborhood to find
out what they sell or the services they provide, who their customers are and
why, how their businesses began, why they chose that location, and what changes
they have made. They also wrote a report, and shared information with their
peers, about how successful these businesses were by giving reasons. Some
students also interviewed their family members doing business either of their
own or inherited. Students focussed on a basic ground work that needs to be
laid for setting up a business, the locality that is to be chosen, economic
activities and deciding on product etc. As a class they made a questionnaire to
facilitate their findings.
