Understanding the concept of

import and export

Students came to know that the United States exports many consumer goods to other countries, and those countries import goods here. Each student made a list of his favorite fruits and vegetables, as well as where s/he thinks they come from (besides the grocery store). Students shared their answers with the class, and then illustrated that the states have different weather to grow various fruits and vegetables and so does the other countries.
